Here are some favourites from a recent engagement session I did for Maegan and Gareth. Its not long now to their big day – 11 November in fact, 11/11/11. You can’t have an easier date to remember than this ! Anyhow I’ll be doing their wedding photography at Bluebells restaurant in Sunningdale, one of my favourite venues. These shots were taken primarily in our garden studio as the weather so good not to mention the beautiful autumn colours as well.
Kate and Laurence are due to get married next June 2012 and I’ll be doing their photography at The Elvetham Hotel in Hartley Wintney.
As with all my couples I offer a pre wedding shoot and with Kate and Laurence we decided to do this in Henley On Thames.This is a great location providing me with some fantastic backdrops as you can see below
Here are some favourites from a recent pre wedding shoot. These are very popular and is something I offer all of my wedding couples as a way to get to know each better. It also gives them an idea of how I shoot and gives me an idea of how they are in front of the camera. So a win win situation all round.
I will be photographing Michala and Dave’s wedding at Silchester House next March and today they braved the sub zero temperatures and came over for their session. It was sooooo cold – I had difficulty finding the controls on my camera ! So we couldn’t hang around for long and ended up doing a few shots in my studio.
I always enjoy working outdoors especially at this time of year with the beautiful autumn colours.

I will also be doing their wedding photography at The Crown and Cushion in Blackwater in a few weeks time. Lets hope the we have great opportunities like this on their big day, and dry weather of course !

Here are some favourites from an engagement portrait session in Windsor, Berkshire. This was of Anna and Kong and I’ll be doing their wedding photography at The Olde Bell in Hurley later this month. These are always fun and relaxed to do especially at a favourite location. As Anna and Kong both live in Windsor and the fact I attended a trade show there on the same day, this was an ideal location.
In fact the plan on their wedding day is to go for a short stroll around Windsor straight after the ceremony at The Guild Hall. This will be great fun and I’m sure the tourists will be snapping away like mad. So in a way this engagement shoot was like a warm up, rehearsal minus the white dress and suits of course. I love shooting in London and when Gerry and Rick (whose wedding I’ll be photographing at Monkey Island in Bray) asked me to take some engagement shots in Brick Lane I jumped at the chance. London, and in particular Brick Lane, offers such a variety of colours, cultures, and architecture. Its a photographers dream with endless possibilities for great shots wherever you turn.
Gerry and Rick were brought up in this part of the world and it also where they first met. So these images have even more meaning for them. As you can see we had scorching weather which created some harsh, contrasty light but which can also give a more fashion type look as well. At the end I was really pleased to get some shots on the Underground as Gerry and Rick headed off to see Andy Murray at Wimbledon. Here are some favourites below. I’ve processed a few in with a retro look which, although I don’t do often, looks quite effective here. Feel free to add any comments below
Here are some favourite images from a recent engagement session I did for Serena and Ivan. This is something I now offer for all of my wedding couples and is proving very popular. Later on this year I will be photographing their wedding at Kelmarsh Hall in Northants. Below are some more from the session which was done just across the road from my studio in a local park. After a long and seemingly never ending winter it was finally good to go outside and take some engagement photos. These were of Marchien and Nick and I’ll be photographing their wedding at Warbrook House in Hook, Hampshire, later this year. This is a new service I’m offering this year which allows all my wedding couples a chance to see how I work and will hopefully make them a little less camera shy on their big day.
It was also a chance to try out my new cameras having recently switched over to Nikon from Canon. And of course nothing is complete without a few shot taken on the i phone with my favourite hipstamatic application. Below are some more favourites, please feel free to add any comments.
