May portrait favourites
Better late than never, here are some favourites from May. May was an incredibly busy month as well as the start of the wedding season proper, so hence the delay in posting these.
Buscot Charity Auction
I’ve recently teamed up with Anna Fry at Buscot Charity Auction to help them raise funds.
I’ve agreed to donate a voucher worth £100 for the sum of just £15. The £15 will go direct to the charity and you can pay directly by visiting the website above. Anna will then send me your details and booking information will be sent to you.

April favourites – location and pet portraits
Here are some of my favourites from April. You can see quite a few are taken outdoors. Not only does the better weather allow this but we are building a small outdoor set at the back of the studio.This means we can quickly add more choice and variety to each session. Not only that but some young children can sometimes feel a little intimidated in a studio. Once they are outside they often relax and become themselves. It is also great for pet portraits as well.
March favourites
Below are some of my favourite shots from March. As the weather becomes warmer I have started to do a few outdoor shots which you can see below.
At the back of our studio we have a large garden as well as an old shed which we have painted and tidied up. This is an excellent area to take portraits and the light is soft and directional.
A lot of children and toddlers can sometimes feel a little intimidated in a studio situation with large flashing lights. So this can prove to be a useful alternative.
Family Portrait Week
My organisation, The MPA launched a new promotion last friday (13th March)
The press event was also attended by HRH Princess Michael of Kent and a number of celebrities, as well as representatives from the Variety Club, MPA and Family Portrait Week organisers. Princess Michael was very supportive of the initiative in her speech and everyone there was very positive about the promotion.

Kendrick Parent's Society – Family Portrait Promotion
I am pleased to have recently teamed up with Kendrick School Parent’s Society to help them raise funds towards the Science and Sixth Form Buildings.
I have agreed with Miriam Graham to offer a Family Portrait Voucher for a special price of just £15. This £15 will then be donated towards the fundraising. Another benefit is that the voucher will give you £85 worth of photography here at my studio (session fee £25, plus one small desktop portrait £60).
If you would like to participate in this promotion you can do so in several ways -
1. On Saturday 21st March 09 the Kendrick Parent’s Society will be holding their Spring Fair at the school from 1pm. You can purchase a voucher here from Miriam.
2. If you are unable to attend you can purchase one direct from me at the studio – either in person by calling in (please phone first) or over the phone. You can pay the £15 by cash or cheque (payable to Kendrick Parent’s Society). If you wish to pay over the phone then I can take credit/debit card details and pop the voucher in the post.
3. The offer will remain open until the 21st April. You must, however, book or register your voucher before the 4th May 09.
