Location photography in Henley On Thames

henley on thames wedding photographer182 Location photography in Henley On Thames

Ben and Martha are getting married next month and I’ll be doing their wedding photography at Wokefield Park in Mortimer, Berks. For all my couples I include a complementary engagement session as an opportunity to get to know each better.  So hopefully on the wedding day itself  they’ll be a little less camera shy.

Ben and Martha chose to have their session in one of their favourite locations on the banks of The Thames in Henley. As you can see we had some bright sunny weather with a thin layer of snow as well. This was a real fun and relaxed session despite the cold and we’re now both looking forward to their wedding next month and hopefully warmer weather. My favourites can be viewed below and please feel free to add any comments.

Here are some favourites from a recent pre wedding shoot. These are very popular and is something I offer all of my wedding couples as a way to get to know each better. It also gives them an idea of how I shoot and gives me an idea of how they are in front of the camera. So a win win situation all round.

I will be photographing Michala and Dave’s wedding at Silchester House next March and today they braved the sub zero temperatures and came over for their session. It was sooooo cold – I had difficulty finding the controls on my camera ! So we couldn’t hang around for long and ended up doing a few shots in my studio.

I always enjoy working outdoors especially at this time of year with the beautiful autumn colours.

Here are some favourite images of Katherine and David taken at a local beauty spot close to their home. I will also be doing their wedding photography at The Crown and Cushion in Blackwater in a few weeks time. Lets hope the we have great opportunities like this on their big day, and dry weather of course !

Engagement photo session in Windsor, Berkshire

018 Engagement photo session in Windsor, Berkshire

Here are some favourites from an engagement portrait session in Windsor, Berkshire. This was of Anna and Kong and I’ll be doing their wedding photography at The Olde Bell in Hurley later this month. These are always fun and relaxed to do especially at a favourite location. As Anna and Kong both live in Windsor and the fact I attended a trade show there on the same day, this was an ideal location.

In fact the plan on their wedding day is to go for a short stroll around Windsor straight after the ceremony at The Guild Hall. This will be great fun and I’m sure the tourists will be snapping away like mad. So in a way this engagement shoot was like a warm up, rehearsal minus the white dress and suits of course. Below are some more favourites so please feel free to add any comments.

After a long and seemingly never ending winter it was finally good to go outside and take some engagement photos. These were of Marchien and Nick and I’ll be photographing their wedding at Warbrook House in Hook, Hampshire, later this year. This is a new service I’m offering this year which allows all my wedding couples a chance to see how I work and will hopefully make them a little less camera shy on their big day.

It was also a chance to try out my new cameras having recently switched over to Nikon from Canon. And of course nothing is complete without a few shot taken on the i phone with my favourite hipstamatic application. Below are some more favourites, please feel free to add any comments.

April favourites – location and pet portraits

05/05/2009 Posted in: For clients — Tags: , — by Neil Palmer

Here are some of my favourites from April. You can see quite a few are taken outdoors. Not only does the better weather allow this but we are building a small outdoor set at the back of the studio. This means we can quickly add more choice and variety to each session. Not only that but some young children can sometimes feel a little intimidated in a studio. Once they are outside they often relax and become themselves. It is also great for pet portraits as well.
